The COVID-19 outbreak at Cedar Place residential aged care facility has been formally de-declared by the Public Health Unit.
NVC Group Executive Care Manager Mia Resurreccion said the de-declaration allows Cedar Place to get back to business as usual.
“It is welcome news Cedar Place was late yesterday de-declared and we are now in the process of returning to business as usual within a COVID-safe framework,” she said.
“There are now no residents or staff at Cedar Place with COVID-19, which is great news for everyone.
“All of our facilities and staff are continuing to operate within a framework of preventing outbreaks of COVID-19 and acute respiratory infections in order to try and keep our residents and staff as safe and as healthy as possible.
“Part of this framework is having both staff, visitors and contractors provide a negative Rapid Antigen Test before entering an aged care facility.
“I would like to thank Cedar Place staff, residents and their families and loved ones for their patience during this time.”
