Village residents: would you enjoy a trip to Abundance Nursery?

Published: 03 Oct 2023

Looking to spruik up your garden? Well if you’re a Lakeside Gardens, Riverside Gardens or Fairway Gardens retirement village resident, you are invited to attend a group bus tour to Abundance Nursery, near Port Macquarie, on Thursday 19 October 2023.

NVC Group Lifestyle Living Village Coordinator Helen Funnell said the bus trip would provide a wonderful day out to a beautiful nursery and lakeside café.

“I’m really looking forward to coordinating this great day out for village residents,” Ms Funnell said.

“Abundance Nursery and its lakeside café is a wonderful spot and the day out will provide a great chance to catch up with your neighbours.

“The nursery is known for its beautiful flowering ornamental plants, such as bougainvilleas, geraniums and hibiscus.

“It also has a wide range of pots, garden art, and giftware.

“Residents who join the bus trip, which will cost approximately $17 per person, can traverse the nursery and lake’s edge and then we will all meet up for a long lunch together.”

It is proposed the day out will start at 8.30am for Riverside Gardens retirement living residents, and Lakeside Gardens residents will be picked up by the bus at 9.15am. The bus will then travel south to Port Macquarie and then onto Sancrox, where the nursery is located.

It is estimated residents will return to Lakeside Gardens and Riverside Gardens by about 2.30pm.

The cost of the day will be approximately $17 per person* and should you wish to attend, please contact Ms Funnell by 12 October 2023 on (02) 6598 5000 or 0472 876 127. She can be emailed at helen.funnell@nvcl.org.au

*Estimated cost only. The known cost will depend on the number of residents wishing to attend as this will effect the cost of the bus.
