Our award-winning New Graduate Aged Care Registered Nurse Program is open to applications for its 2024 intake.
It’s a great opportunity as one graduate RN discovered this year.
Autumn Lodge grad RN, who preferred not to be named, said starting a new career in her middle-age was made easier by being involved in NVC Group’s New Graduate Care RN Program.
“Working for NVC Group through the New Graduate Aged Care RN Program enabled me to more easily transition to working as a Registered Nurse,” she said.
“The one-on-one time with senior nurses and the paid, 12 training days per year are great as it has allowed me to ask questions and watch demonstrations, making me more confident in my nursing role.”
NVC Group Clinical Education Coordinator Imeleta Richard said her organisation is seeking recently graduated Bachelor of Nursing students for the specialty program’s 2024 intake.
Applications for the February 2024 intake close on 12 January 2024.
“If you are a Bachelor of Nursing student who graduated this year, please get in touch with me and I can outline the pre-program employment opportunities available at NVC Group,” she said.
“Aged care nursing is great, as there are often opportunities to advance quickly and all nurses working in aged care are paid competitively, due to the recent 15 per cent pay increase.
“It’s also super rewarding, as unlike the acute care model, aged care nurses get to have long-term relationships with elderly people, so you make acquaintances and friends too.”
