NVC Cycle Walk Fundraiser promises to be a great morning for all!
Published: 09 Aug 2024NVC Group is turning fifty in September and we’re celebrating this milestone with a community cycle and walk fundraiser. This event is happening on Sunday, the 8th September 2024. It is kindly being supported by Nambucca Valley Rotary Club.
The event starts at Bellwood Park. People can either walk or cycle or come along for a sausage sandwich while kids can look for a treasure hidden in the park or get their faces painted.
Registration for the cycling will start from 8.30 am at Bellwood Park. Then there will be a mandatory quick briefing of walk/cycle route at 8.55 am.
At 9am, walkers will participate in a round trip from Bellwood Park to the V-Wall which is a distance of approximately 5kms.
From 9:00 – 9:30 am, cyclists will do a round trip from Bellwood Park, Nambucca to Kingsworth Estate, Nambucca. The leisurely cycle will cover a distance of 8.5km.
From 10 am, ShoreTrack will be at Bellwood Park, putting on a BBQ, and there will be some fun kids activities including a find a treasure in the park and free face painting.
“It’s going to be a great morning,” said Debee Thow, 50th Anniversary NVC Community Committee member. “We’d love to see our community come along and support our non for profit’s milestone, while having a bit of exercise, fun and there’s prizes for the best fancy dress and best bike bling.”
Everyone, young and old, are welcome to come along!
A donation of $10 for cyclists and $4 for walkers is encouraged. Money raised will go towards improving the outdoor spaces at NVC’s aged care facilities.
