Community nurse Maddy Tinker is enjoying working in aged care due to the long-term relationships she is building with elderly people.
After working in critical care in hospital settings, Ms Tinker said the change is refreshing.
“I began my career working in hospitals and while I enjoyed this experience, I haven’t looked back since changing into aged care earlier this year,” she said.
“I love working in Home & Community Care as my work tasks and locations are diverse and there’s a healthy mix of nursing care time and office time.
“I also find it really rewarding to build long-term relationships with elderly clients, which enables me to help guide health outcomes over months and years, not hours or days, as in a hospital setting.”
NVC Group is currently recruiting for Registered Nurses. The not-for-profit organisation offers many benefits including above award wages, salary packaging, opportunities for professional development and flexible rotating shifts.
