We proudly support our local communities through a range of Home and Community Care services in the Coffs Coast and Nambucca and Macleay Valleys

Primary Objectives of the Role:

  • Provide and/or coordinate clinical leadership in all aspects of the home and community operations.
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of management, clinicians, carers, clients, families, support staff and other relevant community agencies to facilitate an effective client focused service.
  • Assume the responsibility for the overall clinical management of clients, assisting and directing the Registered Nurses
  • Maintain standards of nursing practice consistent with ANMC competencies and the philosophy and values of NVC Group.
  • Promote and foster a progressive exchange of ideas, values and practices.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Nursing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current Police Check
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and ANMC competencies for Registered Nurses.
  • Demonstrated clinical problem-solving skills to maximise client care.
  • Proven Management skills demonstrated team leadership, strong working knowledge of continuous improvement and familiarity with Client Care Services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
  • Ability to assist with the coordination of client care with a multidisciplinary team, providing person centred care.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunities, Work Health & Safety and Infection Control Standards and Regulations
  • Commitment to ethical practice
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development
  • Sound computer skills
  • First Aid Certificate and Annual CPR certification

Desirable:

  • Three years’ experience in provision of quality aged care in a clinical role.
  • Awareness of quality improvement, accreditation and government funding
  • Tertiary qualifications in Gerontology, Dementia Care or Palliative Care or demonstrated competence in these areas.
  • Current drivers’ licence, with no restrictions
  • Membership in Industry Reference Groups, committees or Associations.
