NVC Group wishes our clients and community a peaceful Christmas and happy New Year.
Our residential aged care homes are open over the festive period and we encourage family members and friends to visit their loved one in accordance with our visitation policy outlined below.
We hold Christmas parties especially for our residents ahead of Christmas day, in order to leave the day free to be with family and friends. Our residents’ Christmas parties are being held on:
NVC Group’s administration offices are closed from Friday 23 December until Wednesday 28 December. The registered training organisation NV College is closed from Friday 23 December until Tuesday 3 January 2023.
During this period Riverside Gardens and Autumn Lodge aged care homes are open and the reception desks can be contacted on (02) 6598 5000. Cedar Place in Kempsey is also open and can be contacted on (02) 6563 1177.
We wish you a safe and enjoyable holiday period.
NVC Group’s aged care homes visitation policy aims to balance our responsibility to manage the risks of potential COVID-19 infection while encouraging residents to maintain their important relationships with loved ones.
Our visitation policy adheres to the Public Health (COVID-19 Care Services) Order 2022, mandating visitors and workers in residential aged care must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
When visiting an aged care home, visitors must follow these three steps* and wear a mask:
Step 1) Phone the aged care home and book in your visit.
Step 2) Do a RAT test at home before visiting. If the test is negative, put a date on the RAT test and photograph it and present it to the home’s reception desk upon arrival. If the test is positive, stay at home.
Step 3) Enjoy a visit with your loved one either outdoors or in the resident’s room only.
The NSW Government recently made the decision to no longer support COVID Safe Check-Ins, the QR Code Check-In system, for high-risk settings. This means NVC Group will no longer receive a notification should a visitor test positive to COVID-19 in the days following a visit to one of our aged care homes.
Therefore, in order to help keep residents safe, we ask visitors to please notify us should they become unwell or test positive to COVID-19 following a visit to one of our facilities.
*Visitation processes are subject to change with advice received and elevation of potential risks.
