RNs: it’s a great time to join aged care

Registered Nurses (RNs) play an integral role in the provision of care to elderly people living in aged care homes and in the community.

NVC Group Executive Care Manager Moriah Resurreccion said there has never been a better time to join NVC Group, as RNs in aged care not only earn high wages, but there are opportunities to up-skill and advance quickly.

“Registered Nurses have never been better valued or remunerated in aged care than now,” she said.

“Thanks to the wage increase of up to 15 per cent registered nurses received since July from the Federal Government funding the Fair Work Commission’s determination.

“This is a welcome increase to RN’s wages and it better reflects the complexity of their work and multiple skills required to provide clinical care to elderly people.

“I would like to hire more RNs for NVC Group’s aged care homes Riverside Gardens in Nambucca Heads, Autumn Lodge in Macksville, and Cedar Place in Kempsey.

NVC Group has multiple RN roles currently vacant either in aged care homes or in the community in locations ranging from Coffs Harbour to Kempsey. Full-time, part-time, and casual roles exist for the right applicants.
