NVC Group’s kitchens are top grade

This month NVC Group’s kitchens successfully passed NSW Food Authority audits with flying colours.

Hotel Services Manager Beth Laverty said it is great to have six commercial kitchens operating at the best rating, A Grade.

“The Nambucca Valley community and our aged care home residents can trust that the meals we serve are not only nutritious, but are always safe to eat,” she said.

“I am proud our kitchens have continued to maintain its A Grade rating as we take our responsibility to care for our residents and our café customers seriously.”

The NSW Government Food Authority department audited NVC Group’s three aged care home kitchens this month and assessed their food safety programs and compliance with the programs, as well as other requirements of the relevant Food Safety Scheme set out in the Food Regulation.

NVC Group Cedar Place chef, Phillip Ryitt, said: “I would like to congratulate all of my Hotel Services team members for upholding the high standards necessary to provide the best of care to our aged care home residents.

“At Cedar Place aged care home in Kempsey we currently have a job vacancy for a cook or an apprentice chef, so I encourage anyone interested in cooking in an A Grade kitchen to apply.”
