Kicking goals at the Living Well Expo

The recent Coffs Harbour Living Well Expo was a great success for our Community Team and NV College.

NVC Group Home and Community Care Manager Jacqueline Wills said three of NVC Group’s staff manned the stall and met with a broad range of people including students, job seekers, and mature people seeking information about home support.

“I greatly enjoyed meeting with residents from the Coffs Harbour region and networking with groups such as the Coffs Harbour Older Women’s Network,” Ms Wills said.

“All in all the expo held at the Cex on Wednesday 8 March was a great day, topped off with entertainment by a ukulele band.”

Thank you to Blue Sky Community Services and Lifetime Connect for hosting the Living Well Expo. The event was designed to assist mature persons, people with a disability and their carers to meet with service providers and hopefully improve their health outcomes by making connections.

NV College has a range of great, fee-free* training opportunities available currently including:

• Care Ready (three accredited units of competency)
• Intro to Hospitality (four accredited units of competency)
• Customer service (two accredited units of competency).
