About the opportunity:
As the Quality Compliance Coordinator, you will be onsite daily to ensure all quality and safety standards are upheld throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities include coordinating and conducting audits, reporting findings and education of staff to ensure implementation of improvements to enhance the overall quality and safety systems and processes.
The role requires dedication, strong organisational skills and attention to detail, the ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously as well as with the team.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications and certifications in quality or safety management.
- Minimum two years experience in Quality Assurance or safety management preferably within healthcare.
- Current APHRA registration.
- Problem solving skills and task prioritisation.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, with public speaking experience.
- Experience in residential aged care.
- Expertise in the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Experience and knowledge of Health and/or Residential Aged Care, continuous improvement, quality management and accreditation standards and processes.
- Drivers license
- Strong written skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and achieve results.
- Experience in electronic management systems is highly desirable.
Duties:
- Liaising with and consulting with internal stakeholders regarding deadlines or issues related to quality management.
- Raising non-conformances, assist with consumer complaints, investigations, and reports to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Performing on-site floor audit inspections to ensure compliance with safe work practices.
- Investigating and rectifying safety issues by implementing new procedures.
- Maintain records and reports of quality and safety performances to present in management meetings.
- Report to the Senior Quality Compliance Coordinator.
- Maintaining relationships with the services that encourage service management and staff to escalate concerns and a willingness to work with the quality team on innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate closely with education and management teams in implementing and maintaining our continuous quality improvement program.
- Proficiency in desktop and quality audits, including generating comprehensive reports.
- Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, visiting and supporting NVC facilities.
- Remaining consistently informed about updates or modifications to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct desktop and site audits to evaluate compliance with standards. Implement audit actions and recommendations.
- Attend site leadership and quality meetings, actively contributing ideas and insights.
- Support orientation and induction programs for new staff, delivering face-to-face (F2F) and Teams-based education as required.
- Ensuring compliance with a range of applicable Government Legislation
- Undertaking investigation, reviews and scheduled audits or audits triggered by changes in service delivery.
- Monitoring and analysing data in relation to incidents, feedback and quality activities to support services to make information decisions and have an understanding of the trends occurring within their service.
- Supporting services in meeting the requirements of any external regulatory reviews or other external visits and provide onsite support during these events.
- Supporting and assisting services to identify and implement quality improvement projects based on feedback and audit results.
