We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for primary care to join our well established, friendly general practice team.

About the role

In this role you will be supporting General Practitioners, and delivering quality clinical nursing services to a wide demographic of patients.

Duties you may expect to undertake include (but are not limited to): chronic disease management, patient triage, vaccinations, assisting with minor procedures, wound care, health assessments, ECG’s, spirometry and ear irrigation. You will also be required to assist in the workflow of our recall and appointment system, and maintaining optimal coordination of the treatment room.

The ideal candidate will have experience in General Practice nursing, additional qualifications in immunisation, a demonstrated understanding of the needs of Primary Health Care and an interest in community-based nursing.

You possess a strong work ethic and the capability to excel both as a team member and independently. You have exceptional communication skills, a commitment to addressing patient needs, a vibrant personality with a positive can-do attitude, and the proficiency to handle multiple tasks concurrently. You genuinely care for the optimal health outcome for the patients.

Requirements

  • AHPRA registration
  • a displayed understanding and interest in all arrears of chronic disease management
  • an excellent communicator who is passionate about achieving positive outcomes through a caring and collaborative approach to patient care
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • knowledge of, and the ability to interpret the Medicare benefits schedule
  • knowledge of current immunisation schedules, chronic conditions, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques.
