General Practitioners and pharmacists on the Mid North Coast are invited to attend a free Pharmacy Outreach Seminar in Macksville on 3 October.
NVC Group Executive Care Manager Mia Resurreccion said the visiting pharmacist would provide the latest information on how to best minimise and use restricted drugs in aged care settings.
“Our area is fortunate the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is sending a visiting pharmacist to help our clinical professionals upskill through the Pharmacy Outreach Program,” she said.
“Some of NVC Group’s Registered Nurses will be attending the session to hear the latest antibiotics information and how to implement best practice when caring for elderly people.
“I encourage GPs, pharmacists, RNs or medication endorsed ENs from any of our regional aged care providers or health care services to attend.”
The free seminar is being held on Tuesday, 3 October 2023, from 6-8pm at Blue Gum Cafe and Conference Centre, in Short Street, Macksville. Provision of a buffet-style dinner will be supplied, along with drinks.
